Tawni appeared as a guest speaker for the Public Libraries of Warren County on October 21 , 2011. It was part of an ongoing program sponsored by the library "Read Along the River: One Book for Warren County". This is a community reading program co-sponsored by the Public Libraries of Warren County (Sheffield Public Library, Sugar Grove Public Library, Tidioute Public Library, Warren Public Library and Youngsville Public Library). The purpose of this program is to encourage all adults and teens in Warren County to read and discuss the same book at the same time. It is designed to create the atmosphere of a county-wide book club.

Tawni was the closing luncheon Speaker for the Pennsylvania Library Association’s 2011 Conference on October 5, 2011.

Founded in 1901, the Pennsylvania Library Association (PaLA) is the oldest and most diverse professional library organization serving libraries, library employees, library trustees and Friends of the Library organizations.

  PaLA represents more than 1600 personal, institutional, and commercial members who are affiliated with public, academic, and special libraries throughout the Commonwealth. This speech was an opportunity for the author to congratulate the PaLA membership on the dedication and commitment they bring to their local communities, and to discuss the current title she is working on, Company Town. A book signing was conducted following the event.
